Half a
Million Meals and Counting
The Verde Valley
affiliate of Kids Against Hunger joined with Verde Valley Christian Church and
other community members Saturday to package 35,208 meals, which will be used
exclusively for Verde Valley
distribution in cooperation with the Yavapai Food Council. Saturday's event
gave the local KAH chapter 233,844 meals in 2013. Since its inception in April
2011, the organization has packaged 519,080 meals to combat local and global
